• Darnell Jackson

My name is Darnell Jackson and I’m the Campus Athletic Coordinator and Head Football Coach at B.F Terry High School. I am a proud B.F Terry graduate of the best class of 2006. I attended Pearl River Community College where I played two seasons of Football and received an Associate's Degree. I later transferred to the University of North Alabama, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.  I started my career as an educator in 2012 as a paraprofessional and shortly became a Special Education teacher in 2013, where I began my coaching career at the great George Jr. High School. I served as an assistant coach at both George Jr. High and Terry High School. In 2018 I was called to become the varsity Special Teams Coordinator. Then in 2020, I became the Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach, where I helped lead our team to have one of the most explosive offenses in our district, coaching our quarterback to become the District 10-5A MVP. In 2021 I was selected to lead the charge, on and off the field, of my alma mater, the fighting Terry Rangers.
My passion is working with kids and helping them become the best version of themselves through sports and mentorship. My goals for Terry Athletics on the field are to get all teams to the state playoffs and win championships. My goals for Terry Athletics off the field are to help as many kids receive scholarships for athletics and academics. Go Rangers! Ranger Pride every day and in every way!

  • Head Athletic Trainer - Kevin Roberts (AKA Doc Roberts)

My name is Kevin Roberts (AKA Doc Roberts) and I am the Head Athletic Trainer and Assistant Campus Athletic Coordinator at B. F. Terry High School. I received my degree in Kinesiology from the University of Houston where I worked with the football and softball teams. I interned with the Houston Texans for two years prior to joining the Terry staff in 2004. I am honored and fortunate to have spent my entire career in education at Terry.

My passion is working with athletes to help them stay safe and healthy so they are able to participate in sports at a high level. I work to educate student athletes and their parents on how to prevent injury and rehab injuries when needed.

It is an honor to work with Coach Jackson as the Head Coach and Campus Coordinator since he was a student athlete here when I began at Terry. He is one of many past and current coaches on the staff I’ve had the privilege of taking care when they were student athletes.

  • Assistant Athletic Trainer - Cindy (Doc) Tiegs

I graduated from Eastern Washington University with a BS in Sports Medicine. Before becoming an Athletic Trainer, I raised two boys, who have turned out to be fabulous young men. I helped run a Mobile DJ business with their Dad, coached baseball and tennis, and was active in the PTA during their elementary school years. I am a natural helper. Whether it is prehab or rehab, I only want the best for the student athletes in helping guide them to being great, in their sport or in life.
